Laura Ann Wilson, 29, departed this life on Monday, February 29, 2016 at Palmetto Health Tuomey, Sumter. Born February 23, 1987, in Sumter County, she was the daughter of Walker Wilson, Jr. and Deloris Wilson. She was a graduate of Sumter High School, Class of 2006. At an early age she joined St. Luke A. M. E. Church, Sumter. Laura enjoyed reading books, writing, poetry, dressing up with her nieces and taking photos. She was a very humorous, yet sensitive person, who would go out of her way to help others in a very respectful manner. She leaves to cherish her memories; her mother, Deloris Wilson; her father, Walker Wilson, Jr.; a loving stepfather, Harry English, Jr.; two sisters, Lenora (Gary) Wilson-Tate and Erin Wilson; three brothers, Patrick English, Harold J. English and Leroy M. Moore; two nieces, Destiny and Courtney Tate; three nephews, Jaylen, Patrick Jr. and Major English; a special cousin, Marvin Moses; a special friend, Daquan Butler; a special second mom, Helen Shannon; and a host of other relatives and friends. Funeral services will be held Saturday, March 5, 2016, 1:00 p. m., from the St. Luke A. M. E. Church, 2355 St. Paul Church Road, Sumter, with the Rev. Dr. Orlando M. McCauley, Jr., Pastor, Pastor Melissa Richardson, eulogist. The family is receiving relatives and friends at the home, 503 Robney Drive, Sumter, and James Village, Apt. #28, Sumter. The Remains will be placed in the church at 12:00 noon. The funeral procession will leave 12:20 p. m. from 503 Robney Drive, Sumter. Floral bearers and Pall bearers will be cousins. Burial will be in the Sand Hill Cemetery, Rembert.
