Jannie M. Reames Wilson, 88, left this earthly realm on Monday, May 16, 2016 at her home. Born in Lee County, September 1, 1927, she was the daughter of the late Willie and Melissa Joe Reames and the widow of Malachi Wilson. She was educated in the public schools of Lee County. Being reared in a Christian home, she accepted Jesus as her Lord and Savior and joined New Zion AME Church, Wisacky, as a youth and remained until her marriage when she joined Liberty Hill Baptist Church, where she served faithful until death. Jannie was a loving person who lived her life according to Godís will. She always had a kind, loving, caring and encouraging words for others. She was truly a friend to man. Left to cherish her memories: two sons, Leroy Reames (Irene) of Camden and Ollie Wilson of Sumter; four daughters, Evinna Wilson, Anna Holmes and Lou Ella Sorrells, all of Sumter, Christine Zeigler of West Palm Beach, FLA; ten grandchildren; twenty one great grandchildren; four sisters-in-law; three brothers-in-law; a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. Celebration of Life services will be held Friday, May 20, 2016, 2:00 p. m., from the Liberty Hill Missionary Baptist Church, 55 Dove Lane, Bishopville, with the Rev. Jerome Douglas, pastor, eulogist, assisted by Rev. Frank Williams, Jr. The family is receiving friends and relatives at the home, 30 Byrd Street, Sumter. The funeral procession will leave from the home at 1:20 p. m. Floral bearers will Liberty Hill Missionary Society. Pall bearers will be grandsons. Burial will be in the Broad Branch Cemetery, Bishopville.
