Theodore Davis, Sr.

Theodore “Bubba” Davis, Sr., 78, departed this life on April 18, 2017 at his home. Born in Lee County, he was the son of Willie R. Davis, Sr. and Golden B. Davis. He attended the public schools of Lee County. He was the operator and manager of Davis Social Club (Davis Night Spot) for over 44 years before retiring. He accepted Christ as his personal Savior and was baptized at an early age at St. Mark Baptist Church. He was a member of Sandy Bluff Lodge # 44, Prince Hall. He leaves to cherish his memories: his wife, Lillie Mack Davis; his children, Patricia (Jack) Brown of Bishopville, Theodore (Katheen) Davis, Jr. of Fort Knox, KY, Amy Michelle Davis of York and Krystal Nicole Davis of the home; eight grandchildren; two great grandchildren; two sisters, Georgia M. Davis and Frances (Arnold) DeBerry of Columbia; one uncle, Roosevelt Thomas of Summerville; one aunt, Ruth Jenkins of New Jersey; a host of nieces, nephews, in-laws, other relatives and friends. Celebration of life services were held Saturday, April 22, 2017, 11:00 a. m., from the St. Mark Missionary Baptist Church, 510 Manville-Wisacky Road, Bishopville, with the Rev. Willie Dennis, Interim Pastor, presiding; the Rev. W. W. Thompson, eulogist. The family is receiving relatives and friends at the home, 1360 Manville-St. Charles Road, Bishopville. The Remains will be placed in the church at 10:00 a. m. The procession will leave from the home at 10:20 a. m. Burial will be in the St. Mark Missionary Church Yard Cemetery, Dalzell.
