Clyde McCain, Jr., 63, departed this earthly life on Monday, April 17, 2017 at Providence Health Northeast Hospital, Columbia. Born January 18, 1954, in Sumter County, he was the son of Clyde McCain, Sr. and the late Evelena Anthony McCain. He was educated in the public schools of Sumter County. He served in the United States Marines. He was employed by Anderson Transfer as a truck driver and dock worker for more than 30 years until his death. He was a member of Shepherd United Methodist Church, where he served on the usher board. He is survived by: his father, Clyde McCain, Sr.; his wife, Ann Tindal McCain; two sons, Michael (Danielle) McCain, Brandon (Monica) McCain; two daughters, Yolanda and Walik McCain; five brothers, Steve (Ella) McCain, James (Rachelle) McCain, Leon Anthony, Ray (Angela) McCain, Bobby Anthony; one sister, Evelyn (Al) Montgomery; ten adopted sons; a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. Funeral services will be held Sunday, April 23, 2017 – 2:30 p. m. from the Antioch United Methodist Church, 4040 Dubose Siding Road , Sumter, with the Rev. Raymond Cook, pastor, eulogist. The family is receiving relatives and friends at the home, 25 Inglewood Drive, Sumter. The Remains will be placed in the church at 1:30 p. m. The procession will leave from the home at 1:50 p. m. Burial will be in the Hillside Memorial Park, 3001 Cain’s Mill Road, Sumter.
