Carlton Generette, 41, departed this earthly life on Friday, August 18, 2017, at his home. Born November 20, 1975, in Sumter County, he was the son James and Ellen McGill Generette. “Carl”, as he was affectionately called, was educated in the public schools of Sumter County. He was a graduate of Maywood High School, Class of 1995. He was employed at Pilgrim’s Pride for 15 years until his health failed. Carl Christian life teachings began at an early age at Bethesda Baptist Church, Lynchburg. He leaves to cherish his memories: his wife, Katherine; son, Carzelle Generette; daughters, Katina, Rachelle and Ikeyta Hunter of the home; six grandchildren; three brothers-in-law; a host of aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. Homegoing services will be held Saturday, August 26, 2017 at 12 noon from the Mt. Pisgah Missionary Baptist Church, 7355 Camden Highway, Rembert, with the Rev. Anthony L. Taylor, Sr., Pastor, Eulogist. The family will received relatives and friends at the home, 5165 Dais Road, Rembert. The Remains will be placed in the church at 11 a. m. The procession will leave 11:20 a. m. from the home. Burial will be in the Mt. Pisgah Missionary Baptist Churchyard Cemetery.
