Patricia A. Rembert Scott, 63, transitioned to her eternal home on Wednesday, January 17, 2018 at her home. Born August 22, 1954, in Sumter County, she was the daughter of Elizabeth V. Rembert and the late Herman E. Rembert, Sr. Pat attended the public schools of Sumter County and was a graduate of Hillcrest High School, Class of 1972. She furthered her education at South Carolina State University and Orangeburg Technical College to pursue her life’s goal of being a nurse. She worked in that field for over 30 years, specializing in geriatric care in various locations in Georgia and South Carolina. She attended and was a faithful member of Shepherd United Methodist Church, where she served as a member of the United Methodist Women, Stewardess Board, Voices of Praise Choir and Sister Circle. She leaves to cherish her memories: one daughter, Kanika J. Scott; one son, Thabiti S. Scott, her mother; one sister, Nevetta H. Rembert; one brother, Kelvin L. Rembert; three grandchildren; a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. The family is receiving relatives and friends at the home of her mother, 1230 South Pike East Lot 124, Sumter. Funeral services will be held Wednesday, January 24, 2018, 1 p. m. from the Shepherd United Methodist Church, 2210 North Main Street, Sumter, with the Rev. Raymond Cooke, pastor, eulogist. The Remains will be placed in the church at 12 noon. The procession will leave from the home of her mother at 12:20 p. m.
