Essie Mae Wilson, 64, widow of Willie Lee Wilson, life’s voyage came to an end on Sunday, August 26, 2018 at Palmetto Health Tuomey Hospital, Sumter. Born May 31, 1954, in Lee County, she was the daughter of the late James McDonald and Ethel Peterson Rouse. Essie leaves to cherish her memories: Lois Peterson (Eugene), Patricia Wilson (Ervin), Michael (Valrie) Wilson, Cusandra Wilson (Adrian), Rachael (Peter) Robinson; brothers and sisters, Carolyn Peterson, Janie Mae (Henry), Willie Peterson, Roosevelt (Shirley) Rouse, Leroy (Brenda) Rouse, Alfonzo (Denika) Rouse, Kirk (Katrese) Rouse, Rosabel (Ezans); seven grandchildren; a host of great grandchildren, brothers and sisters-in-law, nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. The family is receiving relatives and friends at the home, 1079 South St. Paul Church Road, Sumter. Funeral services will be held Saturday, September 1, 2018 at 1 p. m. from the Unionville A. M. E. Church, 1330 Swimming Pen Road, Mayesville, with the Rev. Alvin E. Webb, pastor, the Rev. Dr. Larry Harris, eulogist. The Remains will be placed in the church at 12 noon. The funeral procession will leave from the home at 12:15 p. m. Burial will be in the Unionville A. M. E. Church Yard Cemetery.
