Donald Ray Wilson,  70, departed this earthly life on Tuesday,  May 18,  2010 at Tuomey Health Care System,  Sumter.   Born August 17, 1939 in Benton Harbor, Michigan.  He was a son  of the late Lowell Wilson and Margaret Winnie Wilson.  

She was educated in the public schools of Benton Harbor, Michigan.

He leaves to mourn his passing, a devoted and loving wife,  Catheryne Carroll Wilson; a devoted brother, Richard Lowell Wilson (Marie) who resides in Wasilla, Alaska; four sisters-in-law, May Jackson, Pearlie Mae Haynesworth (Leslie) of Dalzell,  Susanna Carroll,  Mary New of Rembert;   two brothers-in-law, Tommy Lee Carroll of Orlando, FLA and Chief Warrant Officer Albert Carroll of Horatio;   a host of nieces and nephews of Anchorage, Alaska and Rembert, other relatives and friends.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Lowell Wilson and Margaret Winnie Wilson,


and one brother-in-law, Coleman Jackson.


Memorial services will be held 3:00 P. M., Thursday, May 27, 2010  from the John Wesley Williams, Sr. Memorial Chapel,  Williams Funeral Home, Inc.,   821 North Main Street,  Sumter, with Rev. Dr. Ernest Jackson, officiating, eulogist.
