Shirley Mae Chandler Julius, 50,  wife  of Oldest James Julius,  fell asleep in death on Monday,  June 14,  2010 at Tuomey Regional Medical Center,  Sumter.   Born August 31, 1959 in Sumter County,  she was a daughter  of Lillie Mae Ingram Chandler and the late Silas Ross Chandler.

She attended the public schools of South Carolina.  Her working career started when she was employed by Hope Well Center as a nurse-aide and private sitter.

Mrs. Julius was a loving mother that enjoyed her children and grandchildren very much.   She loved to

cook and was a very good cook.

Besides her husband, she leaves to cherish her precious memory: one son, Willie Chandler, Jr.; two

daughters, Thomasina Renee’ Chandler and Lillie Chandler;  one brother, Silas Chandler;  three grandchildren; many aunts, uncles and  a host of  other loving relatives and friends.

Memorial services will be held 11:00 A. M., Friday, June 18, 2010  from the John Wesley Williams, Sr. Memorial Chapel,  Williams Funeral Home, Inc.,   821 North Main Street,  Sumter, with Bro Frank Bruce  and Brother James Tate, officiating, eulogist.

The family will receive friends at the home of her daughter, Thomasina Renee’ Chandler, Ashley Chase Apartments   1199 North Lafayette Drive, Apartment 83, Sumter.

Procession will leave from her home 827 Manning Avenue, Sumter,  at 10:30 a. m.
