On Friday, September 17, 2010 God saw it was time for Nu’Man Rashad Levell, 30, husband of Jennifer Dinkins Levell, to come home from what he loved to do, riding his motorcycle. Born November 13, 1979 in Newark, N. J., he was the youngest son of LaDonna Levell of Sumter and Gary Howard of Atlanta, GA.
He attended the public schools of Sumter County, School District #2. He also attended Central Carolina receiving certificates in Welding and Lab Technology. At the time of death, he was employed by Rent-A-Center. Nu’Man was a humble person.
He leaves to cherish his precious memories: his wife, Jennifer Dinkins Levell; three beautiful daughters, Tatiyana Taylor, JaNora and Nariyha Levell; his loving and devoted mother, LaDonna Levell; and his father, Gary Howard; one brother, Shelduan (Phebe) Levell of Sumter; one sister, Zondria Johnson of Pennsylvania; his grandparents, Herbert and Velma Glover of Rembert; two aunts, Marilyn Levell of Newark, NJ and Shandora Lewis of California; great aunt, NyOka Baker of Newark, NJ; two great-great aunts, Lida Rembert and Teresa Glover of Sumter; father and mother-in-law, Edward (Diana) Dinkins of Sumter; grandmother-in-law, Wilhemnia Dargan of Sumter; one brother-in-law, Jason (Teresa) Dinkins of Summerton; five nieces, Zondria, Ziare, and Zaniyah Levell of Sumter, ShaMara and Devonne Johnson of Newark, NJ; two nephews, Darrell Johnson II of Newark, NJ and JayDen Dinkins of Sumter; one special cousin, James McClary, Jr.; four best friends, Johnny Gause, Jr., Jason Kelly, John West and Paul Trawick; a host of other relatives and friends.
Funeral services will be held 1:00 p. m., Friday, September 24, 2010 from the Grant Hill Baptist Church, 5401 Black River Road, Rembert with Rev. Clifton N. Witherspoon, pastor, eulogist, assisted by Rev. Durant Jenkins.
The family will receive friends at the home of his mother, LaDonna Levell, 915 Holly Drive, Sumter and his mother-in-law, Diana Dinkins 206 Weatherly Road, Sumter.
The funeral procession will leave from the home of his mother at 12:20 p. m.
Floral Bearers and Pall Bearers will be friends of the family.
Interment will be in the Evergreen Memorial Park, 802 North Guignard Drive, Sumter.
