Rico Wendell Abrams

Rico Wendell Abrams, 35, departed this earthly life on Monday, December 13, 2010,  in Dorchester County.  Born in Sumter County on October 30, 1975,  he was a son of  Bobby Ann Abrams Fullard and the late Bobby Joe Fullard, Sr.

He began his education in the public schools of Sumter County and continued his studies at the South Carolina School for the Blind and Deaf in Spartanburg.

He worked in various places in Sumter County.  Rico was a very loving person with a great sense of humor.  He was loved by all who knew him.

He leaves to cherish  his memories:  his mother, Bobby Ann Abrams Fullard;  his stepfather, Clinton Williams; two brothers, Tony (Brenda) Abrams,  Bobby (Tressa) Fullard, Jr., and a sister, Carnethia (Ricky) Wright; a grandmother, Mary Abrams;  his second parents, Mr. and Mrs. Glen Bess; his second grand mother, Ann Pinckney; nieces and nephews, Destiny, Teneka, Tyrell, Rochelle, Daniyah, April, Zachary, Jamarion and a very special nephew whom he loved as a son, Tony “TJ”, all of Sumter;  aunts and uncles, the Reverend Dr. Charles H. Davis of Greenville,  Lawrence (Laura) Beatha of Philadelphia, PA, Charles Abrams of Atlanta, GA, Joyce Davis,  Loretta (Johnny) Johnson, James (Shifferlynn) Fullard,  Princine (Lomand) Bradley,  Delores Abrams,  Terry (Wanda) Fullard,  Billy (Ann) Fullard,  Cynthia (Fabian) Maple and Joetta Fullard, all of Sumter; six great grand aunts; four great grand uncles; a host of  other relatives and friends.

He was preceded in death by his father; his paternal grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. Joseph Fullard,  and his maternal grandfather, Charlie Bell Abrams.  A very devoted aunt, Francine Abrams Davis, whom he preceded in death.

Funeral  services  will be  held 2:00 p. m.,  Saturday,  December  18, 2010  from  the  Rafting Creek Baptist Church,  3860 Highway 261 North, Rembert  with the Rev. Melvin Mack, pastor,  presiding,  Pastor Sentel Abrams of Congregation of Yah, Charlotte, N. C.,  eulogist,  assisted by the Reverend Lemuel Washington of Orange Hill A. M. E. Church,  Rev. Lillian Reynolds,  Minister Carol Sanders and the Rev. Burdel Hill.

The family will receive friends at the home of his mother,  153 Cessna Street, Sumter.

The Remains will be placed in the church at 1:00 p. m.

The funeral procession will leave from the home of his mother at  1:15 p. m.

Floral bearers and Pall bearers will be cousins and friends of the family.

Interment will be in the Evergreen Memorial Park,  Sumter.
