First Lady Tracey Alean Williams Boone, 52, departed this earthly life on Wednesday, July 1, 2009 at Tuomey Health Care System, Sumter, following a brief illness. Born in Bridgeport, CT on December 26, 1956, she was the daughter of the Thomas (Dorothy) Williams and Barbara Jackson.
Mrs. Boone list of lifetime achievements included twenty-eight years in the early childhood field. She was self-employed eighteen of the twenty-eight years as a seamstress, embroiderer, arts and crafts, and floral designer/arranger. She also attended W. L. Bonner College and not to mention her ministry as First Lady of Praise and Worship Deliverance Assembly.
Tracey was the wife of Elder Herbert L. Boone for twenty-seven years. The Lord blessed this union with five children: three sons, Daniel (Peggy) Williams, Franco (Gwendolyn) Benjamin, Herbert (Sharon) Benjamin, and two daughters, Tammy Benjamin and Herlonda (Andre) Washington; eighteen grandchildren; two brothers, Stacey (Mekko) Davis and Jeff Kenebrew; one sister, Latasha (Damen) McNair; one uncle, Sammie Green; one aunt, Louise Thompson; a host of nephews, nieces, cousins, and a multitude of special friendships forged throughout her life time.
Funeral services will be held 11:00 a. m., Wednesday, July 8, 2009 from the New Hope Ministries, 95 Community Street, Sumter with the Elder John Russell Rogers, pastor, Elder Herbert L. Boone, eulogist, assisted by Elder Leroy Bovian, Elder Wesley Maple and Elder James Witherspoon.
The family will receive friends at the family home 1 Monte Carlo Court, Sumter.
The Remains will be placed in the church at 10:00 a. m
The Funeral procession will leave the family home at 10:30 a. m.
Floral bearers and Pall bearers will be family and friend.
Burial will be in the Evergreen Memorial Park, Guignard Drive and Wise Drive, Sumter.
