Lottie Floyd Crim, 87, entered into eternal life on Monday, January 14, 2013 at McLeod Medical Center, Florence. Born on August 25, 1925 in Sumter, she was the daughter of the late Soloman Floyd and Maggie Osborne Floyd and the widow of Oliver Crim.
She received her elementary education in the public schools of Sumter County and graduated from Boylan Haven Mather Academy, Camden.
At an early age she was baptized under the pastoral of the Reverend Charles Davis and became a member of Rafting Creek Baptist Church, where she served faithfully until her health began to fail.
She leaves to cherish her memories: a daughter-in-law, Tessie Crim; one grandson, Dwayne Crim; two great grandchildren, Destyni and Jeydin, both of Sumter; one brother-in-law, Richard Crim of Camden; a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends;
She was preceded in death by one son, George Oliver Crim; one sister, Mattie McDaniel; two brothers, Soloman Floyd, Jr. and Charlie Floyd; three sisters-in-law, Nellie Floyd, Mary Floyd and Mae Edward; and one brother-in-law, Charles Edward.
Funeral services will be held 11:00 a. m., Saturday, January 19, 2013 from the Rafting Creek Baptist Church, 3860 Highway 261 North, Rembert with the Rev. Melvin Mack, pastor, presiding, and the Rev. Berdell Hill, eulogist,
The family will receive friends at the home 7050 Scales Road, Sumter.
The Remains will be placed in the church at 10:00 a. m.
The funeral procession will leave the home at 10:30 a. m.
Floral bearers will be the Senior Missionary.
The pall bearers will be family and friends.
Burial will be in the Rafting Creek Baptist Churchyard Cemetery, Rembert.
