Louise Wilson, 78, was called into her eternal rest on Friday, March 22, 2013 at Tuomey Health Care System, Sumter. Born in Sumter County on May 28, 1934, she was the daughter of the late Hattie Montgomery.
She was educated in the public schools of Sumter County. Louise was a graduate of Ebenezer High School, Dalzell, and Tuomey Hospital School of Nursing, Sumter. She was employed as a nurse with Tuomey Medical Center for many years prior to her retirement. She was a caring person who enjoyed sharing with others. Mrs. Wilson was a member of Mt. Moriah United Methodist Church, where she served as a Lay Speaker, a member of the PPR Committee, Stewardess Board and the Usher Board.
She leaves to cherish her memories: her husband, Isaac Wilson; four sisters-in-law; one brother-in-law; and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
She was preceded in death by her mother, one aunt, three uncles and other family members.
Funeral services will be held 1:00 p. m., Friday, March 29, 2013 from the Mt. Moriah United Methodist Church, 1379 Swimming Pen Road, Mayesville, with the Rev. Bobby Shaw, pastor, eulogist.
A wake service will be held from 6:00 – 6:30 p. m., Thursday, in the John Wesley Williams, Sr. Memorial Chapel, Williams Funeral Home, Inc. 821 North Main Street, Sumter.
The Remains will be placed in the church at 12:00 Noon.
Floral bearers and pall bearers will be family and friends.
Burial will be in the Mt. Moriah United Methodist Church Cemetery, Mayesville.
