Alexander “Tee” Keith, 63, was called home from his earthly battles to his heavenly rewards after a long illness on Sunday, April 7, 2013 in New York. Born in Sumter County on January 1, 1950, he was the son William Keith, Sr. and the late Daisy Carter Keith. He was educated in the public schools of Sumter County. Learning of the opportunities that New York had to offer, Alexander moved to the city in 1966 where he resided until his demise. He was a member of Mt. Nehbo Baptist Church, where he attended faithfully with his wife.
He leaves to cherish his memories: his wife of 27 years, Diane McCaskill Keith; his father, William Keith, Sr. of Sumter; his children, grand and great-grand children, siblings and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
Funeral services will be held 12:00 noon, Saturday, April 13, 2013 from the John Wesley Williams, Sr. Memorial Chapel, Williams Funeral Home, Inc., 821 North Main Street, Sumter, with the Rev. J. Elbert Williams, officiating, eulogist.
The funeral procession will leave from 3421 Ebenezer School Road, Dalzell, at 11:30 a. m.
Floral bearers and pall bearers will be family and friends.
Burial will be in the Mt. Carmel Cemetery, Dalzell.
