Willie Archie, Jr., 67, entered into eternal rest on Thursday, November 14, 2013 at his residence. He was born on January 18, 1946, in Sumter County, the son of the late Willie B. Archie, Sr. and Fannie McLeod Archie.
He accepted Christ as his Savior at an early age. “Chilly Willie” as he was affectionately known, was a joy to be around and all who knew him loved him.
He leaves to mourn his passing and many fond memories: one son, Raymond Davis of Rembert: one sister, Fannie (Leroy) Robinson; three brothers, Sam and George Archie, all of the home, Henry Archie of Rochester, NY; three aunts, Creola Richardson and Pertell McLeod of Rembert, Betty Watts of Rowland, NC; four devoted nieces, Fatima Robinson and Ziarre Bracey, of the home, Nakenya (Antonio) James of Sumter, Tracey (Kelvin) McClain of Charleston; one special nephew, Jalil Miller of the home; three special cousins, Sallie (Donald) Alston, David Bellinger and Gregory Wilson; along with a host of other relatives and friends .
Funeral services will be held 2:00 p. m., Saturday, November 23, 2013 from the Rafting Creek Baptist Church, 3860 Highway 261 North, Rembert, with the Rev. Melvin Mack, pastor, the Rev. Francis Clyde Grant, officiating eulogist, assisted by Pastor Michael James.
The family will receive friends and relatives at the family home, 40 McLeod Street, Rembert.
The Remains will be placed in the church at 1:00 p.m.
The funeral procession will leave from the family home at 1:30 p. m.
Floral bearers and Pall bearers will be family and friends.
