Ora Lee Abrams, 89, widow of Hezekiah Abams, departed this earthly life on Wednesday, March 13, 2019 at National Health Care Nursing Home, Sumter. Born on August 9, 1929, in Sumter, she was the daughter of the late Lillie Bell Joe. Mrs. Abrams was a loving and devoted wife and mother. She was a faithful member of Ebenezer Presbyterian Church (USA), Dalzell, where she served on many organizations. She was educated in the Sumter County Public School System. She was a hard worker and owned her own food vendor business. She served many years as a Domestic Worker and assisted mothers in raising their young children. She leaves to cherish her memories: her daughter-in-law, Angela Joe of Munich, Germany; four grandchildren, Charlene Dennis (Roderick) Grant, Hazel L. Dennis of Sumter, Steven M. Dennis and Troy D. Dennis of San Diego, CA; nine great grandchildren; one great-great grandchild; a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, friends and loving neighbors. Funeral services will be held Monday, March 18, 2019, 11 a. m. from the Ebenezer Presbyterian Church, 4620 Queen Chapel Road, Dalzell, with the Rev. Carnell Hampton, officiating, eulogist. The Remains will be placed in the church at 10 a. m. for viewing until the hour of service. The funeral procession will leave at 10:15 a. m from Williams Funeral Home, Inc., 821 North Main Street, Sumter. Interment will follow in the Ebenezer Presbyterian Church Yard Cemetery.
