Teneia Anderson-Boutte, 41, passed away on Friday, March 22, 2019 at the Spartanburg Regional Hospice Home, Spartanburg. Born December 28, 1977, in Sumter, she was the daughter of Martha J. Anderson and the late Elder Eugene Anderson. Teneia was a 1996 graduate of Mount Pleasant High School, Elliott. She was a member of Mt. Sinai Presbyterian Church, USA, Mayesville. She served 6 years in the Army National Guard, Camden, and attended Limestone College. Teneia was a correctional officer at Tyger River Correctional Institution, Enoree, for over 10 years. Then she moved on to work in the Home Healthcare Service as a C N A. She was married to Joseph Boutte. While residing in Spartanburg, she also attended New Prospect A. M. E. Zion Church with her husband. She leaves behind: three sisters, Carolyn Anderson of Bronx, NY, Tyreather Anderson and Towanda Anderson of Spartanburg; two brothers, Charles (Kenya) Anderson of Elgin and Kenneth Anderson of Columbia. Teneia was blessed with many aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins and a host friends. The family will receive relatives and visitors at her cousin’s home, Elizabeth Roach, 14 Monte Carlo Court, Sumter. Celebration of Life Services will be held Friday, March 29, 2019, 3 p. m., at the Mt. Sinai Presbyterian Church, USA, 5895 Mt. Sinai Church Road, Mayesville, with the Rev. Randolph Green, Pastor, Dr. Franklin D. Colclough, Eulogist. The Remains will be placed in the church at 2 p. m. for viewing until time of services. The funeral procession will leave at 2:10 p. m. from the home of her cousin. Burial will be in the Mt. Sinai Presbyterian Church Cemetery.
