Richard Porcher, 60, suddenly departed this life on Friday, January 24, 2020 at Prisma Health Tuomey Hospital, Sumter. Born April 1, 1959, in Sumter County, he was the son of the late Marian Moise and Martha Ann Porcher. He leaves to cherish his memory: his siblings, Jimmy Porcher, Martha Porcher, Eva Porcher and Eula Porcher; an uncle, Aaron (Mabel) Abrams; nephews, Darnell Porcher, Joseph Byam and Johnny Dorsey; nieces, Demetra Porcher and Linda Jamison; a host of great nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. The family is receiving relatives and friends at the home of his sister, 1150 South Pike West, Apt 419, Sumter. Memorial services will be held 11 a. m., Saturday, February 1, 2020 in the John Wesley Williams Sr. Memorial Chapel, Williams Funeral Home, Inc., 821 North Main Street, Sumter, with Evangelist Linda Jamison of Total Praise Worship Center, Richmond, Virginia, officiating, eulogist. Procession will leave from the home at 10:20 a. m.
