Markies Terrell Collins, 30, was born on September 21, 1989 in Jersey City, N. J. to his parents, Daryle Morris and Teresa Collins. Markies departed this life on Wednesday, March 11, 2020 at his residence. He attended the public schools of Sumter County. Markies worked at Pilgrims Pride, where his co-workers and manager described him as a bright, hard working young man who enjoyed cracking jokes to make others smile. He leaves to cherish his memories: his father, Daryle Morris (Monique); his mother, Teresa Collins (Mark Evans); six sisters, Nicole Collins (Lloyd Goodine), Ebony Harris, Lamonica Harris, Zharkeara Staggers, Nyeara Staggers, Makaia Morris; three brothers, Marcus Evans, Marc Evans, Marcus Fulwood; eight uncles; four aunts; a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends. The family will receive relatives and friends at the home, 3320 Delaware Drive, Dalzell. Funeral services were held Tuesday, March 17, 2020, 11:00 a. m. in the John Wesley Williams Sr. Memorial Chapel of Williams Funeral Home, Inc., 821 North Main Street, Sumter, with Pastor Ricky Simmons, officiating, eulogist. The funeral procession will leave from the home at 10:20 a. m. Burial will be in the St. Paul A. M. E. Church Yard (Shaw) Cemetery, 1495 North St. Paul Church Road, Sumter.
