James “Son” Generette, Jr., 74, son of the late James “Ting” and the late Judie Windham Gerette, was born on September 2, 1945 in Sumter County. He departed this earthly life on August 10, 2020 at his home. James was educated in the public schools of Sumter County. He was employed at Blue Ridge Transfer and later employed by McLaughlin Ford until he retired in 2010. James leaves to cherish his memories: his wife, Ellen Nora McGill Generette of Sumter; one sister, Katie (Luther) Wells of Sumter; one brother, Sammie (Betty) Generette; his only grandson, Carzelle Generette; one daughter-in-law, Katherine Hunter Generette; a special niece and caregiver, Tonya Edwards of the home; a host of nieces, nephews, in-laws, other relatives and friends. The family is receiving relatives and friends at the home, 3 Shuler Drive, Sumter. Graveside services will be held 11:00 a. m., Monday, August 17, 2020 at Ebenezer Presbyterian Church USA, 4620 Queen Chapel Road, Dalzell with Pastor Maurice Wells, Officiating. Procession will leave the home at 10:20 a. m.
