Albert A. β€œAl” Singleton , 78, son of the late John and Louise Singleton, was born February 13, 1942 in Charleston. He departed this life on August 29, 2020 at his home. He attended Burke High School and upon graduation he was employed with the National Martine Union for many years. He leaves to cherish his memories: his wife, Keyzella Singleton: siblings, Beverly Greene, Saneovia Graham (Manolito), Albert Singleton, Jr. and Shonda Singleton of Galveston, TX; thirteen grandchildren; mother-in-law, Dolores Greene; four sisters-in-law; two brothers-in-law; and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends. The family is receiving relatives and friends at the home, 33 West Charlotte Avenue, Sumter. Visitation will be 4:00 – 6:00 p. m., Thursday in the John Wesley Williams Sr. Memorial Chapel of Williams Funeral Home, Inc., 821 North Main Street, Sumter. Funeral services will be held 12:00 Noon, Friday, September 4, 2020 in the John Wesley Williams Sr. Memorial Chapel of Williams Funeral Home, Inc., 821 North Main Street, Sumter, with Elder Lowell Greene, officiating. The procession will leave 11:30 a. m. from the home. In accordance with CDC guidelines, the family is requesting all in attendance to please wear masks.
