Margie Jenkins, daughter of Clyde and Margaret Anthony Oliver, was born August 17, 1939 in Sumter. She transitioned to her heavenly home on Monday, November 14, 2022 in East Orange, New Jersey. She received her schooling in the public schools of Sumter County. In her youth, Margie joined Antioch United Methodist Church. She retired from Fisher Price Toys of New Jersey and Newark, New Jersey School District. She was united in marriage to John Henry Jenkins for 60 years. She leaves to cherish her memories: her son, Charles E. Oliver of Sumter.; one brother, James Oliver of Sumter; a devoted best friend / sister, Lorraine McCallum of New Jersey, and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. She was preceded in death by her parents; five sisters, Gertrude Jett, Mary Oliver, Ruby Champagne, Rosa L. Porter, Joanne Oliver; two brothers, William Oliver, Clyde Oliver; one nephew, Ronnie Oliver; one sister-in-law, Anzie Oliver, and her mother-in-law, Evelina Jenkins. In accordance with the COVID 19 guidelines, the family is requesting no visitations at the home. Funeral services will be held 11:00 a. m., Tuesday, November 22, 2022 in the John Wesley Williams Sr. Memorial Chapel, Williams Funeral Home, Inc., 821 North Main Street, Sumter, with the Reverend Dr. J. Elbert Williams, Eulogist. The procession will leave the home at 10:30 a. m. Burial will follow in the White’s Cemetery, Sumter.
