On July 8, 2025, Brenda Bethune, daughter of the late George Waiters Sr. and Queen Hamilton Waiters was called home. She was born on October 16, 1937 in Sumter County, SC. She attended Sumter County public schools. She was united in marriage for over 66 years to John Henry Bethune. At an early age, she received Christ as her Lord and Savior. She was a member of Goodwill Baptist Church, Eastover. She loved her family with all her soul, and going to church and serving the Lord was her mission in life. Her loving memory will be cherished by her husband, four sons, family members and friends. Funeral Services will be held at 11:00 a.m., Friday, July 18, 2025 at Goodwill Baptist Church, 14081 Garners Ferry Road, Eastover with the Pastor David Jackson, Officiating. Burial will follow on Monday, July 21, 2025 at 12:00 Noon in the Fort Jackson National Cemetery, 4170 Percival Road, Columbia.
