Elijah Pringle, 94, passed away, on Thursday January 17, 2019 at Prisma Health Tuomey Hospital, Sumter. Born on August 6, 1924, in Sumter, he was the son of Elijah and Alice Pringle. He was a member of Jehovah’s Witnesses since 1952 and was active with the Sumter East Congregation. He is survived by: his daughters and their husbands, Linda Pringle Jamison (Charles) of Philadelphia, PA, Catherine Pringle Carter (Tyrone) of Elkins Park, PA, Thomasina Kennedy; his sons, Elijah Pringle of Philadelphia, PA and Kevin Rubin Pringle of Bishopville; grandsons, Damien Jamison, William Jamison and Devin Jarmon; great-grandchildren, Makai Robinson-Jamison, Caslyn Robinson-Jamison, Rallie Robinson-Jamison all of Philadelphia, PA., and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. Celebration of Life services will be held Saturday, January 26, 2019 – 2:00 p. m. at the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah’s Witness East Congregation, 99 Oswego Highway, Sumter. The family will receive relatives and friends at the home, 710 Simmons Road, Sumter. The Remains will be placed in the church at 1 p. m. The Funeral cortege will leave the home at 12:20 p. m. Burial will follow at the Davis Cemetery, Bishopville.
