Estelle Melton McMillian, the daughter of the late Willie (Buster) Melton and Lillie Bell McFadden, was born April 8,1936 in Lee County, where attended the Lee County Public Schools. She departed this earthly life on Tuesday, July 20, 2021 at Prisma Health Richland Hospital, Columbia, SC. Estelle accepted the Lord as her personal Savior at an early age. She was a dedicated servant at Mechanicsville United Methodist Church until her health failed. Estelle served the church in many capacities such as: usher board member, choir member, Communion Steward and United Methodist Women. Estelle worked for many years as a domestic worker and served her community by being a member of the Women Club of Woodrow Community. Estelle leaves to cherish precious memories by her loving children: James, Jr. (Judith), Kenneth(Shirley), Abraham, Daniel(Margaret) of South Carolina, Richard Eric (Angela) of North Carolina and Marvin of Texas. Stepdaughters: Barbara Spann- Kennedy of Maryland, Eileen Martin of New York. Three sisters Blondell Prescott of Saginaw, Michigan, Barbara(Willie) Bowman and Elma Joe of Bishopville, SC. She also has nineteen grandchildren, thirteen great grandchildren, a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. Estelle was proceeded in death by her husband, James Leroy McMillian sr., her mother , Lillie Bell McFadden, and Father, Willie (Buster) Melton, Four sisters, Vermell Davis, Ezell Williams, Rosa Currence, Ruby Turner, Four brothers, WC Melton, Willie Rob Melton, Willie Lee Melton and Jasper Melton Due to the recent surge of the corona virus cases, our family requests no home visits, and wishes that all flowers, cards or donations be sent to Williams Funeral Home, 821 N. Main Street, Sumter, SC 29150 Funeral services will be held 11:00 a.m., Saturday, July 24, 2021 at Mechanicsville United Methodist Church, 184 Lake Ashwood Road, Sumter, with the Rev. Earnest Frierson, Pastor, officiating. Burial will be in the Mechanicsville United Methodist Church Cemetery. Funeral services followed by a “Meet and Greet” at Mechanicsville United Methodist Church. Funeral procession will leave from the home at 10:15 a. m.
