Laura Ann Vincent, daughter of Charles and Carrie Dinkins Williams, was born on December 27, 1961 in Sumter County and entered eternal life on Sunday, September 12, 2021 at Prisma Health Tuomey in Sumter. Laura attended the public schools of Sumter County. She graduated from Hillcrest High School, Dalzell, with the Class of 1980. After graduation she moved to New York where she met and married William Vincent. She returned to Sumter in 1987. Laura was employed at Wal-Mart until she retired. At an early age, Laura Joined High Hills Missionary Baptist Church where she worked faithfully. She was a God –fearing woman who gave her all to her church. She was a dedicated servant of the Lord. Laura worked with the Ushers Ministry, Choirs, Vacation Bible School Teacher, Sunday School Teacher, the YWA Ministry, Pastor’s Aides Ministry and the Culinary Staff Ministry. She leaves to cherish her memory: her parents, Charles and Carrie Dinkins Williams of Rembert; two sons, Xavier Vincent of the home, Travon (Whitney Barnhill) Williams of Sumter; one sister, Carrie (Henry) Prioleau of Rembert; five brothers, Charles Williams of Rembert, Lowery (Patricia) Williams, John (Zelda) Williams of Rembert, David Williams of Waldorf, MD and Thomas Antony (Tabitha) Williams of Stafford, Virginia; a special sister, Doris Wiley of New York; five grandchildren; three aunts, Louise Dinkins of New York, Sophia Jenkins of Atlanta, GA., Lillie (Isaiah) Richbow of Rembert; one uncle, John Dinkins of Sumter, and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. In accordance with COVID 19 guidelines, the family is requesting that face masks and social distancing be observed by relatives and friends during visitation at the home of her mother, 3364 Highway 261 North, Rembert. Graveside services will be held Friday, September 17, 2021 – 10:00 a. m. at High Hills Missionary Baptist Church, 3750 Meeting House Road, Dalzell, with the Rev. Donald Amis, officiating.
