On Monday, December 26, 2022, Timothy “JR” McCauley Jr. departed his earthly life. He was born January 8, 1979. He was the son of Shirley D. McCauley and the late Timothy McCauley, Sr. Timothy was educated in the public schools of Lee County and graduated from Bishopville High School, Bishopville. He accepted Christ as his Savior and joined Mt. Olive A. M. E. Church, Woodrow. JR, as he was affectionately called, loved his family. He was a hard worker. He worked at MMR construction as an electrical worker. He leaves to cherish his life: his loving mother, Shirley Dixon McCauley; his wife, Tasha McCauley; three children, one son, Dorian Floyd, two daughters, Saniyahh, and E’Liya; his special friend, Jocelyn Dawkins; four sisters, Ethel M. (Lewis) Dixon, Beulah M. (Eric) Bradley, Shirley M. (Leroy) Wactor, Maxine Ann McCauley; seven nieces and nephews; two great nephews, and a host of aunts, uncles, cousins and friends. He was proceeded in death by his father, Timothy McCauley, Sr.; paternity grand parents, Mack McCauley and Ethel Temoney McCauley; maternity grandparents, William Dixon and Lula Mae Dixon and a nephew, Ja”Heem McCauley. In accordance with the COVID 19 guidelines, the family is requesting that face masks and social distancing be observed by relatives and friends during visitations at the home, 5405 Colclough Plantation Road, Sumter. Funeral services will be held 1:00 p. m., Monday, January 2, 2023 in the John Wesley Williams Sr. Memorial Chapel, Williams Funeral Home, Inc., 821 North Main Street, Sumter, with Presiding Elder Dr. Herbert Temoney, Officiating, Eulogist. The procession will leave the home at 12:30 p. m.
