Mary Frances Levine was born March 8, 1946 in Sumter County. She was the oldest daughter of the late John Henry McCain and Martha Dargan McCain. Mary took flight from the call of our Heavenly Father on Thursday, January 19, 2023 at Sumter East Health and Rehabilitation Center, Sumter. She was educated in the public schools of Sumter County. In 1964, she married the late Eugene Rodger Levine, Jr. Mary began employment at Sumter West Health and Rehabilitation Center, Sumter, which lasted for 34 years. She was a life time member of Jehovah Missionary Baptist Church, where she faithfully served on the Usher Ministry. To cherish her memories are one daughter, Betty Cooper (Dariell) of Sumter; two sons, Eugene Levine III (Michelle) of Sumter, Vincent Levine (Shyna) of Atlanta, GA; five sisters, Carrie Jones (Ozell) of Miami, FLA, Bertha Vinyard ( Robert) of Salina, Kansas, Emma McCain, Annette Lewis and Edith Lewis, all of Sumter; one brother, Isaac Dinkins of Sumter; two sisters-in-law; two brothers-in-law; thirteen grandchildren; thirteen great grandchildren, and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. In accord with the COVID 19 guidelines, the family is requesting that face masks and social distancing be observed by relatives and friends during visitation at the home, 921 Jensen Road, Sumter. Funeral services will be Thursday, January 26, 2023, 12:00 noon., at Jehovah Missionary Baptist Church, 803 South Harvin Street, Sumter with Pastor Marion H. Newton, Eulogist. The Remains will be placed in the church at 11:00 a. m. for viewing until time of services. The funeral procession will leave the home at a 11:30 a. m. Burial will follow in the Evergreen Memorial Park, 802 North Guignard Drive, Sumter.
