Teresa Warnetta McGee, 52 , residing in Sumter, entered Heaven’s gates on Sunday, April 16, 2023 . Her family is deeply saddened by her sudden and unexpected death. Teresa was born on July 10, 1970 at Tuomey Hospital, the daughter of Elouise Jenkins McGee and the late Henry “Bubba” McGee, Sr. She grew up in Dalzell and attended Sumter public schools . She was a beautiful person inside and out. She had a way to make a room roar with laughter. She cared deeply for those around her. She made an impact on many lives and will always be known as a “favorite aunt”. She is survived by: her mother, Elouise Helen McGee; sisters, Tammie McGee, Belinda McGee, Laquitta McGee; four brothers, Henry McGee Jr., Joey McGee, Terrance McGee, and Norman McGee, and a host of other relatives and friends. In accordance with the COVID-19 guidelines, the family is requesting that face masks and social distancing be observed by relatives and friends during visitation at the home, 2870 Dock Road, Sumter. Wake service will be Wednesday, April 19, 2023, 5:00 – 6:00 p. m. in the John Wesley Williams Sr. Memorial Chapel of Williams Funeral Home, Inc., 821 North Main Street, Sumter. Funeral Services will be held Thursday, April 20, 2023 – 1:00 p. m. at Mt. Olive A. M. E. Church, 2738 Woodrow Road, Woodrow, with the Rev. Dr. R. L. Brown, Pastor, Eulogist. The Remains will be placed in the church at 12:00 Noon for viewing until time of services. The procession will leave the home at 12:15 p. m. Burial will be in the Colclough Cemetery, Dubose Siding Road, Sumter.
