Jermaine Harris was born July 11, 1984 and departed this life April 26, 2023. Jermaine was the son of Olivia Harris and Robert Lee Watts. Jermaine resided in Rembert, SC and accepted Christ as his Lord and Savior during his time of incarceration. Jermaine spent most of his young life in Rembert, SC. He attended the public schools of Sumter and Kershaw counties. He received his GED at the Department of Correctional Education. Jermaine was an artist who enjoyed writing and creating his own music. He was also a motivational speaker, focusing most of his messages on biblical studies and experiences. Jermaine was a joy to be around and was the spotlight of every conversation while making memories with his siblings. He loved family and was the glue that kept them all together. Jermaine made a strong impact on all that he came in contact with. His personality and genuine love for others was definitely one of a kind. He loved God and encouraged others about the power of God. Jermaine leaves to cherish his memory: his father, Robert Lee Watts; two sisters, Dana English-Martin (Omar) and Catanya (Ricardo) Watts-Amos; four brothers: Travis A. Harris, Jalil D. Miller, Robert Lee Watts Jr. (Chauntelle), and Rudy Watts; three uncles, Henry Harris, John Watts and Joseph Watts ; five aunts, Jessie Watts-Horne, Geneva Watts-Moss, Dorthann Watts, Elaine McGeathy and Elaine Stencil. Special cousins Fannie Mae Robinson, Tracey Wilson-McCain, Fatima Robinson, Nykenya Robinson-James, Kionna Wilson, and Gina Williams. A special nephew, Corez English; a special aunt, Annie Holliday-Simon, a special uncle, William Robertson and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, relatives and friends. Jermaine was preceded in death by his mother, Olivia Harris; grandmothers, Elloree Harris, Corrine Watts and special aunt, Lou Ella Spencer. In accordance with the COVID-19 guidelines, the family is requesting that face masks and social distancing be observed by relatives and friends during visitations at the home, 6755 Young Street, Rembert. Funeral services will be held 3:00 p. m., Sunday, May 7, 2023, in the John Wesley Williams Sr. Memorial Chapel of Williams Funeral Home Inc., 821 North Main Street, Sumter, with Minister Carol Sanders, Officiating, Eulogist. The procession will leave the home at 2:30 p. m.
