Brenda Latasha Davis was born March 16, 1970 in Richmond, Virginia. She was the youngest daughter of the late Louise Dunaway Davis and Albert Davis, Sr. She departed this earthly life on June 8, 2023 at Prisma Health Tuomey Hospital, Sumter. She attended Sumter County Schools and graduated from Hillcrest High School. Before her health failed, she was employed as a machine operator at Pontiac Foods. Brenda was baptized and attended High Hills Baptist Church, where she served as an usher. Miss Davis leaves to mourn her passing; one daughter, Tiffany L. Davis of Sumter; her sister, Regina G. Davis of Antioch, TN; one grandson, Da’Jon M. Croom of Sumter; one aunt, Christine Spann of Camden; two nieces, Tarnisha Davis of Columbia, and Felicia Jackson of Sumter; five nephews, LaQuan R. Davis of Antioch, TN, Marcole Davis, Jermaine Davis of Columbia, Brandon Brooks of Sumter, and Isaiah Stoney Jackson; three special friends, Lucille Anderson and Noelle Langley of Sumter, and Marquise Davis of Antioch, TN, and a host of cousins and friends. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her brothers, Alfred R., Frederick A., and Albert Davis, Jr.; aunts, Nellie Middleton, Mamie Lucas, Ethel Clea, Janie Prioleau, Elease Chick, Minnie Donaldson, Georgiana Mobley, Ernistine Dennis, Elenor Dunaway and Felicia Jasper, and one uncle, Henry Davis. In accordance with the COVID 19 guidelines, the family is requesting no visitation at the home. Funeral services will be held 2:00 p m., Wednesday, June 14, 2023 in the John Wesley Williams Sr. Memorial Chapel of Williams Funeral Home, Inc., 821 North Main Street, Sumter, with the Rev. Donald Amis, pastor of High Hills Baptist Church, Officiating, Eulogist The procession will leave the home at 1:30 p. m. Burial will follow in the High Hills Baptist Church Yard Cemetery, 6750 Meeting House Road, Dalzell.
