Clarence “Bob” McCall departed this life on Tuesday, August 1, 2023 at Prisma Health Tuomey Hospital, Sumter. He was the son of the late William McCall and LouBertha Mack McCall. He joined and was baptized at the Grant Hill Baptist Church, Rembert at an early age. During his later years, he was appointed and served as a Deacon at Grant Hill. After a few years serving at Grant Hill, he moved his membership to Mt. Sinai Holiness Church, Rembert, where he continued to serve in the role of Deacon until he was called into the Ministry as an Elder. After a few years of service at Mt. Sinai, Elder Clarence continued his work with the Lord at New Birth Holiness Church, Sumter. As God continued to lead him, he was led to begin a new ministry as Pastor and founder of Restoration Ministries, Rembert. Elder Clarence McCall leaves great memories of this life to his loving and devoted wife of sixty-two years, Alethia Grant McCall; four sons, Jason (Bertha) McCall of Wedgefield, S C, Jonathan McCall and Terrence McCall both of the home, Rembert, S C and Clarence King of Philadelphia, PA ; one daughter, Lisa McCall of Rembert, S C; two sisters, Annie McCall of Rembert, S. C. and Mary (Earl) Singleton of Sumter, S C; one brother, Olin (Elaine) McCall of Springfield, VA; ten grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; one aunt, Azalie Williams of Newark, N J; one uncle, Clifton Mack of Philadelphia, PA and a host of other relatives and friends. He is preceded in death by one son, Jeffrey McCall; one daughter, Crystal McCall; five sisters, Azalie McCall, Elease Grant, Linda McCall, Wilhemenia Lee and Bertha Alston; four brothers, Elder Jerry McCall, Deacon Harvin Grant, Herbert McCall and Willie McCall. In accordance with the COVID-19 guidelines, the family is requesting no visitation at the home. Funeral Services will be held Thursday, August 10, 2023 – 12:00 Noon at New Birth Holiness Church, 42 Larkin Street, Sumter, with Elder Bennie Bradley, Eulogist, the Rev. Alfreda Johnson, presiding, Bishop Nathan Amos is the pastor of New Birth Holiness Church. The Remains will be placed in the church at 11:00 a. m. for viewing until time of services. The procession will leave the home at 11:15 a. m. Burial will be in the Mt. Sinai Holiness Church Cemetery, Rembert.
