Felix Nathaniel Workman, Sr. was born on July 3, 1958, to the late Hillard Rounder Workman and Millie Grant Workman Davis. Felix gained his heavenly wings on September 11, 2023, in Rembert. At an early age, Felix joined Hopewell Baptist Church, where he was a member of the Sunday School and participated in various youth activities. In 1975, Felix graduated and received his high school diploma from Sumter High School. Felix was a hustler by nature and worked various jobs including Outback Steakhouse and Wal-Mart Supercenter, while attending Central Carolina Technical College. Felix enjoyed spending his time with family and friends and watching his favorite team, the Philadelphia Eagles. Felix often spent his days calling his loved ones to make sure they were doing well or to sing gospel songs, AMEN (Felix’s favorite word). Prior to becoming sick, Felix loved cooking for his family and was known to discard of any items that were out of place. In 2004, Felix married his loving wife who he leaves to cherish his memory, Doris Choice-Workman. Felix was loved by all who knew him and leaves behind ten beloved children, Cory (Kevin)Vaughn-Daniel, Terrance Blanding, Quincy Workman, Felix Workman Jr., Clifford (Kinitra) Workman, Tiana Atkins, Tiara Atkins, Felixisha Workman, Shericka (Anthony) McKnight, and Randy Brisbone; three sisters, Geneva Murphy, Marilyn Workman-Duvall, and Marcia (Elliott) Major; two brothers, Hillard Workman Jr. and James (Natalie) Robinson; a special sister-in-law and caregiver, Betty Choice; a special adopted daughter, Patricia (Rickey) Prioleau; a father-in-law, William Morant; a sister-in-law, Carley Workman; three brothers-in-law, James Choice, Henry Choice and William D. Morant; 23 grandchildren; 4 great-grandchildren; and a host of nieces, nephews, uncles, aunts, relatives, and friends. Felix was preceded in death by two children, Desmond Workman and Trina Perkins; three brothers, Fenton Workman, Morris Workman, and Randall Workman; and a devoted step-father Louis Davis Jr. In accordance with the COVID-19 guidelines, the family is requesting that face masks and social distancing be observed by relatives and friends during visitations at the home, 4630 Ellerbe Mill Road, Rembert. Funeral services will be held Saturday, September 23, 2023 – 10:00 A. M. at Hopewell Baptist Church, 3285 Peach Orchard Road, Dalzell, with the Rev. Richard Addison, Pastor, Eulogist. The Remains will be placed in the church at 9:00 A. M. for viewing until time of services. The procession will leave the home at 9:20 A. M. Entombment will be in the Hopewell Baptist Church Yard Cemetery.
