Willie “Bro” Myers, beloved husband of 40 years to Jessie Durant Myers, was born on August 28, 1949 in Lee County, a son of the late Franklin and Janie Ethel McMillian Myers. He entered eternal rest on Friday, December 22, 2023 at Prisma Health Richland Hospital, Columbia. He was educated in the public schools of Lee County and was a graduate of Mt. Pleasant High School, Class of 1968. Willie was a member of Unionville A. M. E. Church. He leaves to cherish his precious memories a loving family and a host of friends. In accordance with the COVID-19 guidelines, the family is requesting no visitation at the home. Funeral services will be 12:00 noon, Friday, December 29, 2023 at Unionville A. M. E. Church, 1330 Swimming Pen Road, Mayesville, with the Rev. Jerome McCray, Pastor, Officiating. The Remains will be placed in the church at 11:00 a. m. for viewing until time of the services. The family will leave the home at 11:20 a. m. Burial will be in the Evergreen Memorial Park, 802 North Guignard Drive, Sumter.
