Mrs. Annie Mae Wilson Evans, daughter of the late Robert and Phillis Wilson was born April 4, 1933 in Lee County, South Carolina. She departed this earthly life on Monday, February 19, 2024. She attended Lee County public schools. At an early age, she joined King Emmanuel Baptist Church and later joined Bethesda Missionary Baptist Church. She worked many years at Zimac Inc. in Lynchburg, South Carolina. She was joined in holy matrimony to the late Robert James Evans and to this union seven children were born. She was proceeded in death by two sons, Robert Jr. and Nathanial Evans; two brothers, Willie and Robert Earl Wilson and one sister, Clara Carter. Left to cherish her memories are daughters, Carrie Evans of Sumter, S. C., Edith and Diane Peterson of Lynchburg, S. C., Linda (Bruce) Givens of Bishopville, S. C.; son, Michael (Cindy) Evans of Lynchburg, S. C.; twelve grandchildren; thirty great grandchildren; three sisters, Dollie Westbrook of Newson, VA, Deloris (Ernest) Miller, Lucille (Deso) Laws of Sumter, S. C.; one brother, Walter Wilson of Lynchburg, S. C.; one aunt, Rosa B. Taylor; one sister-in-law, Rebecca Evans of Lynchburg, S. C.; one brother-in-law, Harry Evans of Lynchburg, S. C.; two special cousins, Veronica Wheeler and Angela Fullard of Lynchburg, S. C., and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, family members and friends.
