Elder Rhodie Lee Haynesworth Jackson, 95, beloved wife of the late Moses Ray Jackson, went to be with her Lord and Savior on November 8, 2025 at National Health Care of Sumter. Born June 1, 1930, in Sumter County, she was the daughter of the late Susie Boykin. Rhodie attended the public schools of Sumter County. She was a faithful member of the Ebenezer Presbyterian Church in Dalzell, where she served in many capacities, including Elder, Gospel Choir member, Usher Board, a devoted Sunday School attendee and Women’s Missionary Society. She was employed with the Sumter Laundry and Cleaners, Cherryvale School and retired from Campbell Soup Company for over twenty years. She leaves to cherish her precious memories, her family, other relatives and friends. Viewing and Visitation will be from 2:00 – 6:00 p. m. in the John Wesley Williams Sr. Memorial Chapel of Williams Funeral Home, Inc., 821 North Main Street, Sumter. The family will receive relatives and friends from 4:00 – 7:00 p. m. at the home, 2270 October Circle, Sumter. Celebration of Life Services will be held 11:00 A. M., Thursday, November 13, 2025 at Ebenezer Presbyterian Church USA, 4620 Queen Chapel Road, Dalzell, with the Rev. Carnell Hampton, Pastor. Burial will follow in the Ebenezer Presbyterian Church Yard Cemetery.
